* Snow Squall Warning for...
  East central Aroostook County in northern Maine...

* Until 1015 AM EST.

* At 932 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
  extending from near Fort Fairfield to 7 miles northeast of Scopan
  to near Smyrna Mills, moving east at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...Flash freeze on roads. Intense bursts of heavy snow. 
           Gusty winds leading to blowing snow and visibility 
           rapidly falling to less than one-quarter mile. Wind gusts 
           greater than 35 mph.

  SOURCE...Radar and webcams.

  IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 
           within minutes.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 95 between mile markers 277 and 304.
 US Highway 1 between Cary and Mars Hill.

Locations impacted include...
Presque Isle, Houlton, Fort Fairfield, Mars Hill, Hodgdon, Easton,
Island Falls, Bridgewater, Smyrna, Dudley Township, Smyrna Mills,

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Wet roadways will quickly freeze. Black ice will cause roads,
bridges, and overpasses to become slick and dangerous. Slow down and
be prepared for a sudden loss of traction.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.

Reduce speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the
visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.

extending from near Easton to 8 miles west of Bridgewater to 7 miles
southeast of Smyrna Mills, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Flash freeze on roads. Whiteout conditions with near zero 
         visibility associated with intense bursts of heavy snow and 
         gusty winds leading to blowing snow. Wind gusts greater 
         than 35 mph.

         within minutes.
