* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...the Anchor River near Anchor Point Road Downstream Of The 
  Sterling Highway And The Anchor River State Recreation Area And 
  Along The Sterling Highway Near Mile Marker 161 (Blackwater Bend).

* WHEN...Until 900 AM AKST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams 
  continue to rise due to excess runoff from rainfall. Low-water 
  crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. 
  Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1201 PM AKST, the public reported flooding along the
    Anchor River near the Old Sterling Highway and along the
    Sterling Highway near mile marker 161 (Blackwater Bend).
    Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly, especially
    near the Anchor River.

Point...


Flood waters are slowly falling.  While there are some lowland roads 
and areas which remain flooded, flood waters are expected to 
continue receding through the day, and additional flooding is not 
expected at this time. Please continue to heed remaining road 
closures.
