AKZ121-271800- /O.CON.PAFC.FA.W.0001.000000T0000Z-250127T1800Z/ /00000.0.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Western Kenai Peninsula AK- 1035 AM AKST Sun Jan 26 2025 ...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM AKST MONDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...the Anchor River near Anchor Point Road downstream of the Sterling Highway and the Anchor River State Recreation Area, with additional flooding along the Sterling Highway near mile marker 160 and 161 (Blackwater Bend). * WHEN...Until 900 AM AKST Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10 AM AKST, Emergency Management reported that severe flooding continues along the Anchor River and conditions remain unchanged. Flooding continued along the Anchor River near the Old Sterling Highway and along the Sterling Highway near mile marker 160 and 161 (Blackwater Bend).
