URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Des Moines IA
910 PM CDT Thu Mar 13 2025

...Potential for Critical Fire Weather Conditions Friday
Afternoon and Early Evening over Southern and Parts of Central
Iowa...

.Very warm conditions, strong and gusty winds from the south, and
drier air coupled with dry fuels will create the potential for
critical fire weather conditions Friday afternoon. The greatest
uncertainty on critical fire weather conditions at this time is
the amount of drier air that will mix in during the afternoon
ahead of an expected line of thunderstorms.
