...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 TO 5 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON
FOR LOW HUMIDITY, GUSTY WINDS AND DRY FUELS FOR MARION, SOUTHERN
PUTNAM, AND FLAGLER COUNTIES...

The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a Red
Flag Warning for north-central Florida areas, including the Ocala
National Forest, which is in effect from 1 PM to 5 PM EST this
afternoon. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Florida, Inland Flagler, Eastern Putnam,
  Coastal Flagler, Eastern Marion, Western Putnam, Central
  Marion and Western Marion.

* TIMING...

* WINDS...Northwest around 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 25 percent.

* IMPACTS...Erratic and rapid spread of existing and newly ignited
  wildfires may limit control and/or containment capabilities.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior. Outdoor burning should be
avoided.
