The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Coahoma County in northwestern Mississippi...
  West Central Panola County in northwestern Mississippi...
  Central Quitman County in northwestern Mississippi...

* Until noon CDT.

* At 824 AM CDT, runoff from earlier thunderstorms has resulted in 
  flash flooding across the warned area. The heavy rainfall is 
  moving out of the area, but many areas picked up an additional 2 
  and 4 inches of rain over the past few hours. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Clarksdale, Marks, Jonestown, Sledge, Belen, Darling, Kings, 
  Dublin, Curtis Station, Pleasant Grove, Coahoma, Lyon, Falcon, 
  West Marks, Matagorda, Clover Hill, Roseacres, Rudyard, Hinchcliff 
  and Essex.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
