The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Carroll County in north central Maryland...
  Northern Baltimore City in northern Maryland...
  Northeastern Howard County in central Maryland...
  East central Frederick County in north central Maryland...
  Southwestern Baltimore County in northern Maryland...

* Until 945 PM EDT.

* At 547 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the area. Up to two inches of rain have already 
  fallen in just the last hour. Additional rainfall amounts of one 
  to two inches are possible. Flash flooding is expected to begin 
  shortly.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
  Baltimore, Pikesville, Ellicott City, Woodlawn, Randallstown,
  Owings Mills, Eldersburg, Milford Mill, Lochearn, Mount Airy,
  Sykesville, Oakland, New Market, Linganore-Bartonsville, Garrison,
  Libertytown, Henryton, Winfield, Woodstock and Gaither.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
