The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Baltimore City in northern Maryland...
South central Baltimore County in northern Maryland...
* Until 745 PM EDT.
* At 448 PM EDT, emergency management officials reported at leat
five roads closed due to high water. Around 3 inches of rain has
fallen and an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain are expected within
the next hour. This will cause flash flooding in low-lying areas,
as well as creeks and streams to rapidly rise out of their banks.
* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Baltimore, Dundalk, Catonsville, Arbutus, Rosedale, Brooklyn Park,
Edgemere, Lansdowne, Eastpoint, Halethorpe and Turners Station.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
