West Central Cameron County in deep south Texas...
* Until 300 AM CDT.
* At 221 AM CDT, Emergency Management reported swift water rescues
in La Feria. Between 6 and 11 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of up to one half inch are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Western Cameron County. This
is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.

IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK
HIGHER GROUND NOW! Life threatening flash flooding of
low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Department, La Feria High School, La Feria North, La Feria
Reservoir, Adams Gardens, Solis, Bixby and Stuart Place.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
