...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 2 PM 
EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...In New York, Franklin, southeastern St. Lawrence, and 
  western Clinton Counties. In Vermont, Grand Isle and western 
  Franklin Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 2 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree 
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest wind gusts will be localized 
  along the northern slopes of the Adirondacks and in the northern 
  Champlain Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
