...BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ONGOING OVER PARTS OF WESTERN AND NORTHERN 
IOWA...

.A band of moderate to heavy snow combined with strong winds and 
blizzard conditions continues over portions of western, northwest, 
and north central Iowa. One inch per hour snowfall rates or greater 
will be possible and thundersnow has been observed as well. Strong 
and damaging wind gusts are also expected. Travel is dangerous over 
parts of western to northern Iowa with roads impassable or will 
become impassable.

...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations between 
  1 and 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northwest, and west 
  central Iowa.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel is very difficult with whiteout conditions - 
  travel is not advised across much of the warned area. The 
  hazardous conditions will impact this evening's commute. Strong 
  winds could cause tree damage, especially if snow accumulates on 
  the branches. Power outages have occurred and additional outages 
  are possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, 
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with 
your vehicle.

* WHERE...Boone, Hardin, Butler, Cass, and Guthrie Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous 
  conditions will impact this evening's commute. Strong winds could 
  cause tree damage. The strong winds and falling snow may produce 
  brief periods of near whiteout conditions.
