...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT
THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions possible. Total snow accumulations
between 2 and 8 inches possible across the watch area. The higher
end of that range over west central and northern Iowa. Winds could
gust as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northwest Iowa.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday night through late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may
down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Whiteout
conditions are possible and may make travel treacherous and
potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult.
Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute
northwest and evening commute there and farther south and east.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...With wind gusts of 50 mph or more possible,
tree damage and power outages may occur even outside of locations
  that receive significant snowfall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for possible blizzard conditions. Continue to monitor the
latest forecasts for updates on this situation.

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the
motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your
destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially
cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is
winterized and in good working order.
