...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT PST TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northern California, including the 
  following counties, in central California, Placer. In northern 
  California, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Nevada, San Joaquin, 
  Stanislaus, Tuolumne and Yuba.

* WHEN...Until midnight PST tonight.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Potential 
  mudslides in the lower foothills.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 503 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in
    the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - The threat of flooding will continue through the evening as
    periods of moderate to heavy rain move over the area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Auburn, Grass Valley, Placerville, Sonora, Jackson, Paloma,
    San Andreas, Cameron Park, El Dorado Hills, Lake Of The
    Pines, Ione, Lake Wildwood, Colfax, Fiddletown, Volcano, Pine
    Grove, Clinton, Pioneer, Somerset and Drytown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northern California, including the 
  following counties, in central California, Placer. In northern 
  California, Amador, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Sacramento, San 
  Joaquin, Solano, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba.

* WHEN...Until midnight PST tonight.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or 
  other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 503 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain. This is causing urban and small stream
    flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused
    minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - The threat of flooding will continue through the evening as
    periods of moderate to heavy rain move over the area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Sacramento, Stockton, Elk Grove, Roseville, Vallejo,
    Fairfield, Vacaville, Citrus Heights, Folsom, Davis, Rocklin,
    Woodland, Benicia, Galt, Auburn, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, El
    Dorado Hills, Cameron Park and Rumsey.
