...EXTREME COLD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below.

* WHERE...Carbon and Monroe Counties.

* WHEN...Until noon EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero 
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. 
  Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is 
  exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing 
  temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must 
go outside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure 
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills 
inside.

* WHERE...In New Jersey, Morris, Sussex, Warren, and Hunterdon 
  Counties. In Pennsylvania, Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, Upper 
  Bucks, Western Chester, and Western Montgomery Counties.

* WHEN...Until noon EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could 
  result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Frostbite and 
  hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these 
  temperatures.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 5 below zero could result 
  in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Frostbite and 
  hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these 
  temperatures.
