...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM EDT THURSDAY 
FOR NORTHERN BREATHITT, SOUTHEASTERN LEE, WEST CENTRAL MAGOFFIN AND 
NORTHEASTERN OWSLEY COUNTIES...

At 1146 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms 
producing heavy rain. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. 
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned 
area. Flash flooding is already occurring throughout Breathitt 
county.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Jackson, Beattyville, Booneville, Simpson, Fivemile, Frozen Creek, 
  Keck, Elkatawa, Sewell, Inverness, Vancleve, Gentry, Noctor, 
  Dumont, Wilhurst, Quicksand, Lawson, Yeadon, Taulbee and 
  Portsmouth.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
