NORTHEASTERN BARNWELL...SOUTHEASTERN AIKEN AND WESTERN ORANGEBURG
COUNTIES...
At 324 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near New Ellenton, or 9 miles southeast of Aiken Mall,
moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. Wall cloud reported at highway
19 and 278 near New Ellenton.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
