The National Weather Service in New Orleans has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  West Baton Rouge Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Southwestern St. Helena Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Northwestern Livingston Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  Eastern Iberville Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
  East Baton Rouge Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

* Until 745 PM CST.

* At 523 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated additional thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. 2 to 5 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Baton Rouge, Zachary, Baker, Denham Springs, Plaquemine, Port
  Allen, Oak Hills Place, St. Gabriel, Walker, Addis, Brusly,
  Slaughter, Grosse Tete, Westminster, Watson, Pride, Bayou Sorrel,
  Shenandoah, Greenwell Spring and Old Jefferson.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the 
warned area. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
