The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Central Florence County in northeastern South Carolina...
* Until 115 PM EDT.
* At 1240 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located near Friendfield, or 8 miles northeast of Lake
City, moving north at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Florence, Hyman, Mars Bluff, Friendfield, Claussen, Francis Marion
University, Evergreen, Carolinas Hospital System, Mcleod Regional
Medical Center, Carolinas Hospital System - Cedar Tower and Health
