The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South central York County in south central Pennsylvania...

* Until 800 PM EDT.

* At 504 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flooding is ongoing in the
  Hallam and Wrightsville area due to earlier heavy rains. In
  addition, more than three inches of rain have already fallen near
  Brogue and Shrewsbury. Flash flooding is expected to begin
  around these areas shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Red Lion, Dallastown, East York, Stonybrook-Wilshire, Shrewsbury,
  Hallam, Wrightsville, Stewartstown, Glen Rock, Yorklyn, Jacobus,
  Windsor, Yoe, Cross Roads, Railroad, Yorkana, Brogue, Loganville,
  East Prospect and Winterstown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
