...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM EDT

GREENSVILLE...WESTERN ISLE OF WIGHT...SOUTHAMPTON...SUSSEX...
SOUTHEASTERN DINWIDDIE AND SOUTHERN SURRY COUNTIES AND THE CITY OF
FRANKLIN...
At 625 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles west of Waverly to near Homeville to near
Courtland to near Boykins to near Seaboard, moving east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Courtland, Wakefield, Boykins, Sussex, Jarratt, Seaboard,
Ivor, Newsoms, Stony Creek, Homeville, Hunterdale, Sedley,
Claresville, Green Plain, Severn, Capron, Branchville, Vicksville and
Booth Fork.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
