The areas affected include...
Nearshore and open waters of Lake Huron from Presque Isle Light to
Alabaster...
At 300 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 23 nm northwest of East Tawas to
19 nm north of Pinconning, moving northeast at 40 knots.
Locations impacted include...
Tawas Bay, East Tawas, Greenbush, Sturgeon Point, Au Sable Point,
Harrisville, Oscoda, and Tawas Point.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
