...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Additional snow accumulations between 
  8 and 16 inches possible with locally higher amounts up to 2 feet 
  in the Upper Cottonwoods.

* WHERE...Wasatch Mountains South of I-80.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult at times.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Northwest flow and lake effect potential will 
  help to keep snow going through Friday afternoon in the Upper 
  Cottonwoods.

  locally higher amounts over 6 inches possible along eastern 
  benches and areas impacted by lake effect bands.

* WHERE...Northern Wasatch Front and Salt Lake Valley.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Winter driving conditions are expected. The hazardous 
  conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning 
  commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The cold front will bring a quick 1 to 2 
  inches of snow Thursday evening followed by a period of lake 
  effect snow that could bring more accumulation through the early 
  morning hours Friday for areas southeast of the Great Salt Lake.
