...Critical Fire Weather Conditions Today...

.Warm, dry, and breezy conditions will combine to create critical
fire weather danger on Monday across portions of southern into 
central Iowa. Fires have the potential to spread rapidly.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM CDT THIS
EVENING FOR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS IN CENTRAL IOWA...

The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon today to 8 PM CDT this
evening. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Marshall and Tama Counties.

* WIND...Southwest winds at 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 
  mph.

* HUMIDITY...Falling to a minimum of 20 to 25% in the afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
