CENTRAL STOKES...NORTHWESTERN HENRY...PATRICK AND SOUTHWESTERN
FRANKLIN COUNTIES...

At 839 AM EST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Woolwine to near Patrick Springs to Hanging Rock State
Park, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Warning remainsin effect for Northwestern Henry County and 
Eastern Patrick County until 845 AM EST.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 PM EST for north central
North Carolina.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

Prepare immediately for DAMAGING WINDS. For your safety, move to an
interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Stay away
from windows.

When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of hail of any
size, as well as reports of any wind damage, including downed trees
or large limbs, to the National Weather Service by calling toll free
