...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM PST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Cold apparent (feels-like) temperatures as low as 17 
  degrees F.

* WHERE...Greater Portland Metro, North and Central Coast Range 
  Mountains of Oregon, Central Willamette Valley, Inner Vancouver 
  Metro, and East Clark County Lowlands.

* WHEN...Until 8 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged 
  exposure.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Coldest apparent (feels-like) temperatures 
  will be experienced in areas exposed to north and easterly winds, 
  or elevations above 700 feet. Areas under persistent cloud cover 
  will have temperatures warmer than forecast. There is around a 50% 
  chance that apparent temperatures will rise above 25 degrees F by 
  6 AM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Those planning to venture outdoors should use common sense and dress 
warmly, making sure exposed skin is properly covered to prevent 
frostbite and/or hypothermia.

Avoid being outdoors in wet conditions which can increase the risk 
of the body cooling down and becoming hypothermic.
