The National Weather Service in Hanford has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South Central Tulare County in central California...

* Until 730 PM PST.

* At 507 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the 
  warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash 
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Porterville, East Porterville, Poplar-Cotton Center, Woodville, 
  Springville, Oak Opening and Camp Nelson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
