The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Northeastern Sioux County in south central North Dakota...
South central Morton County in south central North Dakota...
Eastern Grant County in south central North Dakota...
* Until 900 PM CDT/800 PM MDT/.
* At 836 PM CDT/736 PM MDT/, a confirmed tornado was located 9 miles
west of Solen, or 21 miles north of Selfridge, moving northeast at
15 mph.
HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Public confirmed tornado.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern Sioux, south central Morton and eastern Grant
Counties, including the following locations... Breien.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
