...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM CDT FOR
WESTERN DAVISON...SOUTHEASTERN AURORA AND NORTH CENTRAL DOUGLAS
COUNTIES...

At 111 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooded and washed out 
roads between Stickney and Corsica and areas to the east. Flash 
flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Emergency management.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, 
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage 
         and low lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Vernon and Stickney. 

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area through this afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
