...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM EDT
FOR NORTH CENTRAL LUZERNE AND SOUTHERN WYOMING COUNTIES...
At 647 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Forkston, or 7
miles southwest of Tunkhannock, moving southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Falls, Vernon, Harveys Lake, Orange, Noxen, Mehoopany, Forkston,
Kasson Brook, Evans Falls and Beaumont.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for northeastern
Pennsylvania.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Heavy rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash
