13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

* Snow Squall Warning for...
  Southern Haakon County in west central South Dakota...
  Eastern Custer County in southwestern South Dakota...
  Northern Oglala Lakota County in southwestern South Dakota...
  Northern Jackson County in southwestern South Dakota...
  Southeastern Pennington County in west central South Dakota...

* Until 645 PM MST.

* At 607 PM MST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
  extending from 4 miles west of Ottumwa to 6 miles southeast of
  Fairburn, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to 
           blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than 
           one-quarter mile. Wind gusts up to 35 mph.

  SOURCE...Radar and webcams.

  IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 
           within minutes.

This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 105
and 155.

Wall, Delta 9 Missile Silo, Cactus Flat, Cedar Pass, Rockyford,
Quinn, Interior, Folsom, Philip, Kadoka, Grindstone, Sheep Mountain
Table, Red Shirt Table Overlook, Fairburn, Ottumwa, Minuteman Missile
Visitors Center, Red Shirt, Pinnacles Ranger Station, Grindstone
Butte, and Delta 1 Launch Facility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.
