13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
  Northwestern Deer Lodge County in west central Montana...
  Southern Granite County in west central Montana...

* Until 1245 AM MST.

* At 1219 AM MST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
  extending from 10 miles southwest of Drummond to 14 miles northeast
  of Conner, moving east at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...Whiteout conditions with near zero visibility associated 
           with intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds. Wind 
           gusts greater than 50 mph could knock down tree limbs and 
           blow around unsecured objects.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 
           within minutes.


Locations impacted include...
Highway 1, Maxville, Porters Corner, Princeton, Georgetown, and 
Philipsburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Reduce speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the
visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.

Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes
your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra
time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead
to accidents.
