This application allows easy navigation of National Weather Service issued products with Valid Time Event Coding (VTEC).
13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

* At 616 PM CDT, a wall of dust was along a line extending from 10
miles east of Andrews to 8 miles southeast of Midland International
Air and Space Port to 18 miles north of Rankin, moving east at 35
mph.
HAZARD...Less than one mile visibility with strong wind in excess
of 50 mph.

IMPACT...Hazardous travel.
* This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 122 and 176.
Locations impacted include...
Tarzan, Lomax, Cotton Flat, Greenwood, Stanton, Lenorah, Warfield,
Garden City, Midland Airpark, Skywest Airport, Courtney, Midland
International Air and Space Port, Midland, Big Spring McMahon-Wrinkle
Airpark, Knott, Saint Lawrence, Stanton Municipal Aiport, Elbow,
Spraberry, and Big Spring.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving
conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in
dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep
your foot off the brake.
Motorists should not drive into an area of blowing dust. PULL ASIDE
STAY ALIVE!
