13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central, south central, and southeast
Kentucky, including the following counties, in east central
Kentucky, Estill and Powell. In south central Kentucky, Laurel,
Pulaski and Rockcastle. In southeast Kentucky, Jackson.
* WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and
flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 745 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain had exited
off to the east; however, excessive runoff from previous
heavy rainfall is still leading to high water issues in flood
prone locations.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Irvine, Mount Vernon, McKee, Ravenna, Sandgap, Clover Bottom,
Shirley, Waneta, Threelinks, Goochland, Morrill, Alcorn,
Hurley and Locust Branch.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
