13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

Northern Wichita County in west central Kansas...
Wallace County in west central Kansas...
Western Logan County in west central Kansas...
Greeley County in west central Kansas...
* Until 1130 AM MDT/1230 PM CDT/.
* At 1050 AM MDT/1150 AM CDT/, a dust channel was 5 miles south of
Weskan, or 14 miles southwest of Sharon Springs, moving northeast
at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with strong wind in
excess of 40 mph.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters reported around 1/2 mile or less
visibility near the Cheyenne Wallace and Greeley county
lines.
IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

This dust channel will be near...
Sharon Springs around 1100 AM MDT.
Wallace around 1110 AM MDT.
Other locations impacted by this dust channel include Arapahoe and

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility
reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If
caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your
foot off the brake.
Motorists should not drive into a dust storm. PULL ASIDE STAY ALIVE!
