13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

  Northeastern Orange County in central Vermont...
  Caledonia County in northeastern Vermont...
  East central Orleans County in northeastern Vermont...
  Essex County in northeastern Vermont...
  Northeastern Washington County in central Vermont...

* Until 830 AM EST.

* At 753 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
  extending from near Beecher Falls to near East Montpelier Center,
  moving southeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to 
           blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than 
           one-quarter mile. Wind gusts greater than 40 mph.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Dangerous and life-threatening travel conditions are 
           expected to develop rapidly in the warning area.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 91 between mile markers 105 and 121, and between mile
markers 123 and 147.
 Interstate 93 between mile markers 1 and 11.

Locations impacted include...
St. Johnsbury, Island Pond, Lyndon, Brunswick, Burke, Averill,
Marshfield, Newark, Cabot Village, Canaan, West Burke Village,
Ryegate, Ferdinand, Granby, Cabot, Kirby, Newbury, Newbury Village,
Maidstone, and Waterford.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.
