13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM AKDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...North winds 45 to 55 mph with gusts up to 75 mph.

* WHERE...Pacific-side of the Southern Alaska Peninsula.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM AKDT this morning.

* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property, and 
  cause power outages. Travel will be difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Localized gusts to 70 mph have been observed 
  in King Cove and are expected to continue near communities that 
  experience strong northerly gap winds. Wind speeds are expected to 
  remain strong through the early morning, and begin to diminish 
  later this morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around 
or damaged by the wind. Prepare for the possibility of widespread 
power outages. Use caution if you must drive.
