13 Nov 2024 Update: The tool was updated to use non-hash link style URLs. A shim is in place to translate the old URLs to the new ones, so nothing should be broken (famous last words). This was done to allow the HTML5 History API to provide a better user experience.

* Until 1000 AM EDT Saturday.

* At 124 AM EDT, local law enforcement continued to report flash 
  flooding across the warned area.

  This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for local law enforcement reported 
  numerous roadway flooding across the area. . This is a 
  PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Runoff from recent
           heavy rains continue to produce significant flooding
           across the warned area.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK
           HIGHER GROUND NOW! Life threatening flash flooding of
           low water crossings, small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Johnson City, Elizabethton, Erwin, Central, Pine Crest, Hampton, 
  Oak Grove, Spurgeon, Unicoi, Bluff City, Watauga, Milligan 
  College, Rocky Mount State Park, Hunter, Embreeville, Sadie and 
  Limestone.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to higher ground now! This is an extremely dangerous and 
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are 
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
