The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Colfax County in northeastern Nebraska...
Western Dodge County in east central Nebraska...
* Until 1115 PM CDT.
* At 714 PM CDT, emergency management reported a levee which is
likely to be overtopped or may become compromised along the Shell
Creek, which begins just passed the US 30 and NE 15 interchange
and extends towards the confluence of the Shell Creek and the
Platte River. Residents in the vicinity of the levee are urged to
evacuate and seek higher ground while there is still time.
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for locations between Schulyer
and Rogers. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER
GROUND NOW!
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Schuyler and Rogers.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move to higher ground now. This is an extremely dangerous and
life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are
fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.
Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
