* Until 515 PM CDT

* At 1115 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have
  already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to continue.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Lake Charles, Sulphur, Jennings, Westlake, Welsh, Iowa, Lake
  Arthur, Fenton, Lake Charles Regional Airport, Hayes, Moss Bluff,
  Carlyss, Buhler, Lebleu Settlement, Gillis, Pine Island, Thornwell,
  Holmwood, Bell City and Roanoke.

Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

At 1233 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
that heavy rain was falling over the area. Four to over eightinches 
of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring with 
numerous reports of flash flooding reported across the area. Please 
avoid travel.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lake Charles, Sulphur, Jennings, Westlake, Welsh, Iowa, Lake Arthur,
Fenton, Lake Charles Regional Airport, Hayes, Moss Bluff, Carlyss,
Buhler, Lebleu Settlement, Gillis, Pine Island, Thornwell, Holmwood,
Bell City and Roanoke.

Additional rainfall amounts of three to six inches of rainfall are 
possible in the warned area through 5 PM.

Davis Parish. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. Please 
stay where you are unless the location you are at begins to flood!
