...ICE STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Significant icing. Storm total ice accumulations one 
  quarter to three quarters of an inch with locally higher amounts 
  possible.

* WHERE...Essex County New York and southern portions of Vermont.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. 
  Travel will be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Periods of freezing rain will continue, 
  gradually changing to plain rain on Sunday. There will be high 
  variations in ice accumulations across counties.

Travel is strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra

* WHERE...Southeastern St. Lawrence, Southern Franklin, and 
  Southwestern St. Lawrence Counties.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. 
  Travel will be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Freezing rain tonight will gradually change 
  to plain rain in the western foothills of the Adirondacks tomorrow 
  and linger longest closer to the St. Lawrence River.
