...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the 
  following county, Nash.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...River or stream flows are elevated. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 509 AM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in Stony Creek.
  - Stony Creek is the most likely place to experience minor
    flooding.
    This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Sapony Creek, Back Swamp, Hornbeam Branch, Little Peachtree
    Creek, Maple Creek, Pig Basket Creek, Little Sapony Creek,
    Stony Creek and Tar River.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Rocky Mount, Nashville and Dortches.
