SATURDAY...

* WHAT...For the Gale Warning, seas 13 to 18 ft at 14 seconds and
  southeast winds becoming southwest 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to
  40 kt expected. For the Hazardous Seas Warning, very steep and 
  hazardous seas 13 to 17 ft at 13 seconds and southwest winds 20 
  to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt expected.

* WHERE...Coastal waters from Cape Falcon to Cape Foulweather OR 
  out 10 NM, Coastal waters from Cape Foulweather to Florence OR 
  out 10 NM, Waters from Cape Falcon to Cape Foulweather OR from 
  10 to 60 NM and Waters from Cape Foulweather to Florence OR 
  from 10 to 60 NM.

* WHEN...Gale Warning, until 5 AM PDT Saturday. Hazardous Seas 
  Warning, from 5 AM to 5 PM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

* WHAT...Rough bar conditions expected. Seas 7 to 13 ft and
  southeast winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt expected.   

* WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft, 
  especially when operating near to, or attempting to cross, the 
  Columbia River Bar.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Ebb current of 4.74 kt at 540 AM Friday.
  Seas 9 ft. Ebb current of 4.91 kt at 551 PM Friday. Seas 7 to 8
  ft. Ebb current of 4.98 kt at 613 AM Saturday. Seas 12 to 14 
  ft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wave conditions are expected to
be hazardous to small craft in the vicinity of the Columbia River
Bar. Mariners are advised to obtain the latest bar conditions
from the United States Coast Guard before attempting to cross the
bar.

  For the Hazardous Seas Warning, very steep and hazardous seas 14
  to 16 ft at 14 seconds and southwest winds 20 to 25 kt with
  gusts up to 30 kt expected.

* WHERE...Coastal waters from Cape Shoalwater WA to Cape Falcon 
  OR out 10 NM and Waters from Cape Shoalwater WA to Cape Falcon 
  OR from 10 to 60 NM.

* WHEN...Small Craft Advisory, until 2 AM PDT Saturday. 
  Hazardous Seas Warning, from 2 AM to 5 PM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or cause
  damage to vessels.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Isolated gusts to 35 kt will be possible
  late tonight into early Saturday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Hazardous Seas Warning means hazardous sea conditions are
imminent or occurring. Recreational boaters should remain in
port, or take shelter until waves subside.  Commercial vessels
should prepare for rough seas and consider remaining in port or
taking shelter in port until hazardous seas subside.
