* WHAT...Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest into western and southern Iowa.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree 
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong winds will continue to cause blowing 
  snow at times which may lead to slick travel conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high

* WHERE...Portions of central into northeast Iowa.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines. 
  Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, 
  especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong winds will continue to cause blowing 
  snow at times which may lead to slick travel conditions.
