THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, north winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts 
  up to 35 mph expected. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold 
  wind chills as low as 15 expected. For the Extreme Cold Watch, 
  dangerously cold wind chills as low as 10 possible.

* WHERE...Inland Jackson, Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Colorado, 
  Grimes, Madison, Washington, and Wharton Counties.

* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, from 9 PM this evening to noon CST 
  Wednesday. For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 3 AM to 10 AM CST 
  Wednesday. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from late Wednesday night 
  through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree 
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. 
  Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is 
  exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing 
  temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes. Wind chill values 
  can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high 
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must 
go outside.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to 
drip slowly.
