...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow with additional accumulations of 6 
  to 18 inches. Strong wind gusts will result in blowing snow.

* WHERE...Madison and Onondaga Counties.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of 
  blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous 
  conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning 
  commutes. Strong winds may result in isolated power outages.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The snow totals are for a long duration event 
  through early Wednesday morning. The lake effect snow band will 
  fluctuate north and south during the warning period. Snowfall 
  rates of 1-2 inches per hour are expected in the heaviest portion 
  of the lake effect snow band.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in 
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
