...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST THIS 
AFTERNOON...
...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY 
MORNING...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 
  between 4 and 10 inches north of US route 20, with the highest 
  amounts across the far northern parts of the counties. Lesser 
  amounts of 1 to 4 inches expected south of US Route 20. Winds 
  gusting as high as 60 mph will cause significant blowing and 
  drifting snow in open areas. For the Winter Storm Watch, another 
  round of heavy lake effect snow is likely late tonight through 
  Wednesday morning with an additional 9 inches or more of snow 
  possible.

* WHERE...Madison and Onondaga Counties.

* WHEN...For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, until 4 PM EST this 
  afternoon. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late tonight through 
  Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow 
  could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions 
  could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Strong winds 
  could cause tree damage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow, with rates of 1 to 3 
  inches per hour is expected later this morning into the early 
  afternoon hours. The lake effect snow is then expected to lift 
  north this evening, mainly north of Onondaga and Madison counties. 
  The lake effect snow will return by Tuesday morning, as it drops 
  south once again.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in 
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 
  between 6 to 15 inches along and south of interstate 90, including 
  the City of Utica. Additional snow accumulations between 15 to 28 
  inches  north of interstate 90, including Rome, Camden, Florence 
  and Sylvan beach. Lesser snow amounts between 5 to 10 inches are 
  expected over the northeast corner of Oneida county, including the 
  Boonville and Woodgate areas. Winds gusting between 40 to 60 mph 
  today will create significant blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida and Southern Oneida Counties.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of 
  blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous 
  conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. 
  Strong winds could cause tree damage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The snow totals are for a long duration event 
  through early Wednesday morning. The lake effect snow band will 
  fluctuate north and south during the warning period. Snowfall 
  rates of 1-3 inches per hour are expected in the heaviest portion 
  of the lake effect snow band. Near blizzard conditions are 
  expected in open, exposed location through the day today.
