For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 53 below possible. * WHERE...Benson, Cavalier, Eddy, Nelson, Pembina, Ramsey, Towner, and Western Walsh Counties. * WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until noon CST Sunday. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Sunday evening through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 50 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There may be a period where wind chills become warmer than 40 below zero Monday afternoon before dipping again Monday evening into Tuesday morning.
