...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS 
EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations ranging from 4 to 8 
  inches.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous travel conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Accumulating snow will end from west to east 
  by 11 AM CST this morning.  Wind chill readings around 15 degrees 
  below zero are expected through the duration of the morning. Below 
  zero wind chill readings will persist through the afternoon. 
  Dangerously cold wind chill readings as low as 20 to 25 degrees 
  below zero are expected tonight and Thursday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Be 
prepared for snow covered roads and sudden changes in visibility. 
Leave plenty of room between you and the motorist ahead of you and 
allow extra time to reach your destination. Avoid sudden braking or 
acceleration, and be especially cautious on hills or when making 
turns. Make sure your car is winterized and in good working order.

Travel delays are likely along the Interstate 70 corridor in 
northwest Kansas this morning. For road conditions in Kansas, 
Nebraska and Colorado, call 511. Do not use GPS for alternate 
routes, or to go around barricades.

CST/ THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Snow. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of east Colorado, northwest Kansas and southwest 
  Nebraska.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM MST /6 PM CST/ this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous travel conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will rapidly end from west to east by 9 
  AM MST this morning. When precipitation ends, temperatures may 
  abruptly fall to 5 or 10 degrees below zero and wind chill 
  readings may briefly reach 25 degrees below zero. Wind chill 
  readings ranging from 0 to 10 degrees below zero are expected this 
  afternoon. Dangerously cold wind chill readings as low as 20 to 25 
  degrees below zero are expected late tonight and Thursday morning.
