...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE 
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. There is a 40 to 60 percent chance of 
  seeing at least 6 inches of snow.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Illinois, mainly 
  northwest of I-55.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions 
  will impact the Wednesday evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest chances of over 6 inches of snow 
  are near and northwest of the Illinois River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely 
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter 
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, 
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. 
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help 
you survive in case you become stranded.
