.Periods of moderate to heavy rain will be possible across portions 
of the Alaska Peninsula and Kodiak Island into early Monday.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be 
  possible.

* WHERE...The following area, Kodiak Island and southern coastal 
  locations along the Alaska Peninsula.  This includes the cities of 
  Kodiak, Akhiok and areas near Chignik and other rural southern 
  coastal locations.

* WHEN...Through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, 
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. 
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Prolonged 
  rainfall may cause wet soils to slide along steep hillsides.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Periods of heavy rainfall is expected over the region through
    the weekend. Rainfall amounts of up to 2-3 inches can be
    expected along southern coastlines through early Monday.

  - If you live near or along a southern coastal region please take 
  action should you encounter high water.
  - Storm drains should be kept clear of debris as much as possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood 
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared 
to take action should flooding develop.

  possible.

* WHERE...The following areas, Anchorage, East Turnagain Arm, 
  Matanuska Valley, Northeast Prince William Sound, Southeast Prince 
  William Sound, Susitna Valley, Western Kenai Peninsula and Western 
  Prince William Sound.  This includes the cities of Anchorage, 
  Eagle River, Indian, Eklutna, Girdwood, Portage, Palmer, Wasilla, 
  Sutton, Chickaloon, Kenai, Soldotna, Homer, Cooper Landing, 
  Whittier, Seward, Moose Pass, Valdez, Thompson Pass, Cordova, 
  Talkeetna, And Willow.

* WHEN...Through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Frozen ground combined with excessive runoff may result 
  in flooding of roadways, urban areas, low-lying and flood-prone 
  locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Widespread periods of heavy rain are still expected to
    overspread southcentral Alaska starting Friday evening and
    continuing through Monday morning.
